Bible Class
Our Bible Class meets upstairs and is for everyone aged S1-S6. There are about 15 of us from lots of different schools; Uddingston Grammar, Hamilton College, Glasgow Dance School, Eastbank Academy, Hutcheson’s Grammar! Our main aim is to grow in our Christian faith and to apply our faith to our everyday lives. We spend time getting to know God better by studying the Bible, discussing it and applying it, having an opportunity to ask questions and grapple with doubts. We are just starting a new series on Colossians, looking at who Jesus is, and how he is central to our faith.
We also spend time with each other – over juice and biscuits at the start of our meeting, at various outings we have during the session. We had a great weekend away in September at Ardeonaig Christian Outdoor Centre near Loch Tay (see some of the photos!) and are planning a programme of various activities over the coming session.
Our Bible Class is fully integrated into the life of our church family. Like the Sunday School we meet in church and join in worship on a Sunday morning, leaving the service just before the adult sermon.
